Should You Buy Maruti Suzuki Ertiga VXI Instead of LXI?

Yes. it’s worth buying the Ertiga petrol’s VXI variant instead of the LXI variant. Here’s why:

While the additional features of the Ertiga VXI variant don’t justify the price jump over the LXI variant, the lack of certain must-have features forces us to recommend against buying the LXI variant. For example, the LXI variant doesn’t have the following important features:

  • Rear AC vents
  • Day/night inside mirror
  • Music system
  • Steering-mounted controls
  • Remote for central locking
  • Power mirrors

We can get some of these features from the aftermarket, but the lack of rear AC vents is something you shouldn’t take lightly - especially considering the size of the car. For a 7-seater, rear AC vents are a must-have feature. Even if you don’t want to spend more money, we strongly suggest you at least get the VXI variant of the Ertiga petrol.
