MG have recently increased the prices of the 2026 Hector. The Select Pro, Smart Pro and Sharp Pro variants with the 1.5L turbo petrol-manual powertrain got the biggest price hike of Rs. 50,800. The MG Hector 2026 prices now start from Rs. 11.99 lakh and go up to Rs. 19.50 lakh. In percentage terms, the maximum price hike is 3.55% for the Select Pro variant.

MG will soon officially enter the commercial business scene with MG Commute — their Windsor-based electric car for cab and fleet operators. The Commute will not carry the Windsor nameplate and will sell with only the Commute badging. Moreover, visually, MG will distinguish it by giving it fewer cosmetic and functional features. This will help in maintaining separate identities for the Windsor and Commute vehicles.

We have recently learned from a reliable source that the 2026 MG Hector facelift with the 5-seat configuration is getting a cheaper petrol-automatic variant. The Select Pro trim of the 5-seater Hector 2026 facelift automatic will cost Rs. 15.09 lakh, which is only Rs. 1.10 lakh pricier than comparable manual variant. The other automatic variants carry a premium of Rs. 1.30 lakh. It’s also Rs. 1.20 lakh cheaper than the next Hector 5S petrol-automatic variant, Smart Pro, which costs Rs. 16.29 lakh (ex-showroom).

This confirms what we at V3Cars reported last week – that the Hector twins are set to undergo yet another design update, becoming the only SUV in their segment to receive 4 different front-end designs within one lifecycle.

We have recently learned that the MG Hector and Hector Plus are about to get a design update very soon — again. This is the 4th design for the Hector twins. The first time the car went on sale in 2019, it had a black grille. In 2021, they moved to adding a chrome dots pattern to the grille. In 2023, they got the chrome pro max plus upgrade. And for 2026, they are getting another update to the front design; enough to call it a facelift.
