Though, Mahindra will be offering both engines with a six-speed automatic, with the diesel also getting an all-wheel-drive system. However, the rest of the range will be available with front-wheel drive as standard.

Talking about the design and styling, the front end of the facelifted XUV500 features a new chrome grille with a mesh design and a large chrome strip around the grille, the top part of the strip is flanked by new twin-pod headlamps with projectors and LED DRLs, bottom of the strip splits the air dam in two, fog lamps are retained from the current-gen model and are placed below the headlamps, with a vertical chrome strip and L-Shaped design. Moving towards the rear, the newly launched XUV500 facelift features a new tailgate design and tail lamp clusters, triangular tail lights instead of the regular vertically stacked taillights, redesigned rear bumper, tail-gate with a new chrome number plate garnish, a roof spoiler with an integrated high-mount stop light and the reflectors placed down the taillights.

At the inside, the all-new Mahindra XUV500 offers tan colored leather seats with diamond stitching, all-black dashboard is covered with leather, with silver trim on the centre console, a piano black fascia in place of a matte black finish on the centre console, additional silver trim added to the gear knob, center armrest, handbrake lever and steering wheel. The most noticeable change inside the cabin is the touchscreen updated with more options and features Android Auto, Connected Apps and EcoSense.
