It’s a new split 2-spoke wheel and has a classy design. It does that without going with the flat-bottom option. Apparently, that’s the only major difference between the i20’s and Creta’s steering wheel. The design sketches of the Creta’s dashboard show flat-bottom steering, which the 2020 i20 has a properly round wheel.

Behind the wheel, there’s a 10.25-inch full-colour digital instrument cluster, which can change colours based on the selected driving mode. The infotainment system is also a 10.25-inch unit with smartphone connectivity through Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Other features include cruise control, automatic AC, lane-keep assist, traction control, heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, wireless phone charging and touch-based infotainment controls with a physical volume dial.

The next-generation 2020 Elite i20 is also expected to go on sale in the second quarter of 2020. In addition to retaining the 1.2-litre normal petrol engine, it could also get the new 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. The 1.4-litre turbo diesel engine could be replaced with a 1.5-litre engine, which is currently available in the Kia Seltos.
