Maruti Suzuki Dzire Facelift 2020 - All You Need To Know
Maruti Suzuki Dzire facelift is expected to go on sale in May 2020 - keeping in line with Maruti Suzuki’s Dzire launch timetable. In 2017, Maruti Suzuki launched the new-generation Dzire in the month of May. Let’s examine the dimensions, expected prices, petrol engine specs of the 2020 Dzire to see how its stacks up against in the premium hatchback segment.

What are the dimensions of 2020 Maruti Suzuki Dzire facelift?
Maruti Suzuki rarely, if ever, modifies the dimensions of a car with the mid-life update. So, expect the 2020 Dzire to measure the same as the current Dzire. Here’s a rundown of its dimensions:

What is the power and torque output of 2020 Maruti Suzuki Dzire facelift petrol?
The 2020 Dzire is already BS6 compliant. So, the facelift only needs to address the design aspect of the car. Expect the engine specs to be carried over with the facelift. Power and torque figures along with the transmission options will remain intact with the Dzire facelift.

It’s important to note here is that Maruti Suzuki has discontinued the diesel engine in its entire lineup. So, the Dzire facelift will not have any diesel engine, at least in the foreseeable future. Other subcompact sedans like the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze and Ford Aspire have diesel engines and will continue to offer a diesel engine in 2020 and beyond. If there’s enough demand, then Maruti Suzuki may again offer a diesel engine option with its small cars.
What are the features of 2020 Maruti Suzuki Dzire facelift?
Just like the recently launched Ignis, the Dzire too is not expected to get any new features. The existing features will be carried over.

The only new feature that could be introduced in the top variant (ZXI Plus) could be the addition of cruise control. The Volkswagen Ameo, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Aura offer this feature in the same segment. In similar price band, the Honda Jazz, Tata Altroz and Volkswagen Polo are also offering cruise control. However, since there is limited awareness and demand for this feature, it may not even make it to the final car until 2023.
What are the expected price of the 2020 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Facelift?
The 2020 Dzire facelift is likely to receive minor cosmetic updates at best. So, the prices should also reflect a proportionate and modest jump of about Rs. 6,000 - similar to what we saw in the 2020 Ignis facelift.

What is the launch date of the 2020 Maruti Dzire?
The Dzire will most likely launch in May 2020. A similar launch timeline was followed for the current-generation Dzire, which launched in May 2017. Expect a similar summer launch time frame for the update 2020 Dzire as well.
What will be the design changes in 2020 Maruti Dzire?
In terms of design, the Dzire facelift will get restyled bumpers at best. Save for a handful of cars, Maruti Suzuki’s mid-life updates have remained barely noticeable. Expect a similar treatment for the 2020 Dzire.
In our opinion, the Dzire hasn’t yet started showing its age and the existing design has a few years left in it before it starts to look pale. By the time that happens, it’ll probably be time for a major overhaul and a generation change. It’ll get a generation update by mid of 2023.
What other cars can you buy instead of the 2020 Maruti Dzire facelift?
The 2020 Dzire will have direct competition from cars like the Volkswagen Ameo, Hyundai Aura, Ford Aspire, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor. In addition, the subcompact sedans also have to deal with cross-segment heat from competent premium hatchbacks like Tata Altroz, upcoming next-generation Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz, Ford Figo, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Toyota Glanza.
