Hyundai Creta Facelift Likely To Launch In January | V3Cars

Hyundai are likely to launch the updated version of their best-selling SUV, the Creta, in January 2023. Hyundai could showcase the new 2022 Creta facelift at the 2023 Auto Expo and launch the SUV in Q4 of FY2022.

2022 Hyundai Creta Facelift

Hyundai showcased the current-gen Creta at the 2020 Auto Expo. After a hiatus of 1 year, Auto Expo is set to make a comeback in January 2023. There could not be a better time for Hyundai to showcase the new Creta facelift than the Auto Expo as the current version of the Creta is set to compete 3 years in March 2023. The Hyundai Creta facelift is already on sale in global markets like Thailand, South Africa and Brazil.

Creta Facelift

The Thai-spec Hyundai Creta facelift sports a new face that is similar to that of the recently-launched Hyundai Tucson. The LED DRLs merge seamlessly with the grille and seem like single unit when turned off. The LED headlights sit lower on the bumper. Other change include a sculpted tail gate and tweaked LED tail lights.

Creta Facelift Interior

On the inside, the 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift is likely to carry with the same design, albeit with a couple of new features. We can expect the addition of blind-spot monitoring, 360-degree parking camera and a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

In terms of powertrain, the 2022 Creta facelift will continue to come with the 1.5L normal petrol, 1.5L turbo diesel and 1.4L turbo petrol engines. Transmission options will include the 6-speed manual, 6-speed auto-clutch manual, CVT, 6-speed torque converter automatic and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.

2022 Hyundai Creta facelift will rival other C-segment SUVs like the Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor and the upcoming Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
