Kia India have revealed the complete details of the Kia Carens. Kia will start accepting bookings for the Carens from January 14, 2022 onwards. They will offer the Carens in five trim levels - Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus. In addition to that, the Carens will have the segment-longest wheelbase and Kia claims it to be even longer than many vehicles above its class. On the powertrain front, the Carens will get 1.5L normal petrol, 1.4L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engine options.

Kia Carens will come with 6 airbags as standard across all variants along with other safety features like ESC, VSM, all-disc brakes, etc. Kia will offer the Carens with both 6- and 7-seater layouts and we expect it to offer class-leading space. If we talk about dimensions, the Carens measures 4540mm in length, 1800mm in width, 1708mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2780mm. Its wheelbase is 20mm longer than that of the Alcazar. Kia Carens will carry on with the engine and gearbox options we get with the Seltos. The base 1.5L normal petrol engine, with 115PS and 144Nm, will come with a 6-speed manual. Both the 1.4L turbo petrol, with 140PS and 242Nm, and 1.5L diesel, with 115PS and 250Nm, will come standard with a 6-speed manual along with 7-speed DCT and 6-speed torque converter options respectively.

Kia India will start accepting bookings for the Carens from January 14 onwards. We expect Kia India to launch the Carens sometime next month. The prices may start from Rs 13.0 lakh whereas the top variants could fetch up to Rs 20.0 lakh ex-showroom. The Carens will go against the following cars:
