2022 Kia Seltos Launched In India – Gets Diesel-iMT Combo And Better Safety Features | V3Cars
Kia have launched the 2022 Seltos in the Indian market. The prices of the 2022 Seltos now start from Rs. 10.19 lakh and go up to Rs. 18.45 lakh ex-showroom. The 2022 Kia Seltos gets more safety features as standard as well as new colour options. Kia have also added a new powertrain option for the 2022 Seltos.
Speaking of the changes, the 2022 Seltos comes with enhanced safety features. Now, safety features such as front and side airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability management (VSM), brake assist (BA) hill start assist, high-line tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and all-wheel disc brakes are standard across all variants of the Seltos.

Kia India now offer paddle shifters and drive/traction modes as standard across all the automatic variants of the 2022 Seltos. The 2022 Seltos also gains curtain airbags from HTX+ variant onwards. Kia India now offer the auto-clutch manual transmission (ACMT) with the 1.5L turbo-diesel engine in the HTK+ variant. The 1.5L diesel automatic is now also available in a new HTX variant.
Kia haven’t made given the 2022 Seltos any visual changes, save for the new Seltos logo which can be seen on the steering wheel, scuff plates and tailgate. Kia have also added two new colour options to the 2022 Seltos range – blue and silver. Other than the aforementioned changes, the 2022 Seltos remains mechanically similar to the current model. The 2022 Seltos comes with three engine options – 1.5L normal petrol, 1.5L turbo diesel and 1.4L turbo petrol.

The 1.5L normal petrol produces 115PS of power and 144Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual, 6-speed ACMT and CVT. The 1.5L turbo-diesel engine produces 115PS of power and 250Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual, 6-speed ACMT and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The 1.4L turbo petrol engine produces 140PS of power and 242Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
