MG Tease 2022 Hector Facelift Interior | V3Cars

MG Motor India have released images of the upcoming Hector facelift’s interior. The SUV will offer a new dashboard layout with a segment-largest 14-inch touchscreen infotainment and ambient lighting.

The images show a new multi-layer dashboard that uses a generous amount of soft-touch leatherette materials. The 14-inch vertically-positioned touchscreen infotainment is the highlight in the cabin, and it may also feature a physical volume knob with a host of other features. MG have confirmed that the new infotainment system will feature wireless functionality for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The 2022 Hector will also offer bigger AC vents, divided in two sections. The chrome strip running across the dash also gives the feel of a continuous-running AC vent design. MG have also revealed that the new Hector will feature a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster. Other changes on the inside include configurable ambient lighting, new engine start/stop button, redesigned power window controls and a shutter for central cup holders. We can also see an aircraft-inspired gear shifter in the new Hector.

In terms of exterior updates for the 2022 Hector, the teaser image shows a larger grille and tweaked headlamp clusters. We can expect a new design for the alloy wheels along with a reworked rear profile as well. It is worth noting that MG will keep the current Hector on sale alongside the 2022 model.
