The MG ZS EV facelift gets a closed-off grille finished in body colour with a textured pattern. The previous version had a more conventional grille at the front. The charging port has now moved to the left of the MG logo instead of under it. The side profile remains the same but gets a new design for the 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, which also seem aerodynamically-efficient. The LED headlights, DRLs and taillights are all new and identical to the MG Astor.

On the inside, the dashboard layout and the added equipment is similar to that of the Astor. It will offer a leather-wrapped dashboard, new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, a fully-digital instrument cluster, and a panoramic sunroof.

On the powertrain front, the 2022 ZS EV could come with a bigger 51kWh battery pack to give it more range. Currently, the ZS EV comes with a 44.5kWh battery pack which produces 142PS of power and 350Nm of torque. The 2022 MG ZS EV will take on the likes of the upcoming Hyundai Kona EV facelift and the Tata Nexon EV long range.
