The 2022 MG ZS EV facelift is here. Let’s compare the new model with the old ZS EV and see what changed. In this old vs new comparison, we’ll compare the prices, engine specs, battery capacity, dimensions and highlight the new features of the ZS EV facelift. Let’s start with the price comparison.

MG Motor India continue to offer the ZS EV in two variants - Excite and Exclusive. However, both variants cost more than before. The Exclusive variant is available for deliveries. Meanwhile, the base Excite variant will start delivering from July 2022. Here are the prices of both variants:
The prices of the 2022 ZS EV Excite and Exclusive variants are Rs. 1.0 lakh and Rs. 1.7 lakh higher than before.

Here are the powertrain specs of the new old ZS EV and the new 2022 ZS EV:
With the bigger battery pack, the ZS EV now delivers 42km longer range than the older model. It now produces more power too, at 176PS. The power output is 33PS more than the older model. However, the torque output is 70Nm lower and has gone down from 350Nm to 280Nm in the new ZS EV. The 2022 ZS EV still holds an acceleration time of 8.5 seconds whereas the DC fast charging time saw a bump of 10 minutes than the older model for taking the battery capacity from 0 to 80%.
