The 2023 Hyundai Alcazar now offers BS6 phase 2-compliant diesel engine and E20 fuel-ready petrol engine. Even after updates required for BS6 phase 2 emission norm compliance, the power and torque outputs of both engines remain unchanged. The 1.5L turbo diesel engine of the 2023 Alcazar produces 116PS of power at 4000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 2750rpm. The 2.0L normal petrol engine produces 159PS of power at 6500rpm and 191Nm of torque at 4500rpm. Both engines continue to come with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Furthermore, Hyundai have also added an integrated starter generator with idle start/stop feature. This feature is available across all powertrains and variants of the 2023 Alcazar. Idle start/stop helps the car burn less fuel in stop-go traffic conditions, thereby reducing CO2 emissions.
