Mercedes-Benz India have launched the second-generation GLC luxury SUV at a starting price of Rs. 73.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The new GLC has already garnered 1500+ bookings on the launch day. Read on to know more about the new Mercedes-Benz GLC.

Like before, Mercedes-Benz India offer the GLC with a choice of petrol and diesel engine options. The GLC 300 uses a 2.0L turbo petrol engine and is priced at Rs. 73.5 lakh. The GLC 220d uses a 2.0L turbo diesel engine and is priced at Rs. 74.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Both powertrains come in a single Avantgarde variant that comes kitted with a ton of features.

Take a look at the key features of the Mercedes-Benz GLC:

Up front, the new GLC gets an updated chrome grille with a thick chrome surround. The bigger change is that the new all-LED headlights now merge seamlessly with the grille. The new-gen GLC also gets flush-fitting door handles to aid aerodynamic efficiency. On the inside, the new GLC takes design inspiration from the new S-Class. It gets a flowing centre console that houses the 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also gets a 12.3-inch display for the driver with multiple visual themes.

Take a look at the powertrain details of the Mercedes-Benz GLC:
Both the 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.0L turbo diesel engines of the GLC come mated to a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive. Mercedes-Benz India are yet to reveal the ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency figures of the GLC. The 2nd-gen GLC continues to rival other premium SUVs like the BMW X3, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, Jaguar F-Pace, Land Rover Discovery Sport and Lexus NX.
