2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC Breaks Cover — New Powertrains, Design And Features | V3Cars

Mercedes-Benz have revealed the all-new 2023 GLC with a range of mild-hybrid and plug-in-hybrid options. The new GLC will go on sale globally in the coming months and we expect Mercedes-Benz India to launch the updated premium SUV in 2023.

2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC Exterior Design

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC gets an all-new design with the standard Avantgarde trim. Up front, the new GLC gets an updated chrome grille with a thick chrome surround. The bigger change is that the new all-LED headlights now merge into the grille. The GLC AMG Line, on the other hand, gets tri-star inlets with the chrome grille.

The 2023 GLC also gets more muscular wheel arches with body-coloured cladding further available in the AMG Line trims. Other changes include 20-inch alloy wheels, flush-fitting door handles and all-LED split tail lights.

The new GLC gets the new dashboard design from Mercedes-Benz. An 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment display sits vertically at the centre. The driver gets a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display with customisable visual themes. Other features include powered and heated front seats, wireless charging, smartphone integration and a panoramic sunroof.

2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC Engine Options

All engine options of the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC get mild-hybrid tech. The mild-hybrid engine options come with an integrated starter generator that boosts power and torque by 23PS and 200Nm as and when needed. The plug-in-hybrid models come with a 138PS electric motor and an all-electric driving range of 100km. Mercedes claim that the all-electric range in the plug-in-hybrid models is good for urban commutes.

All variants of the new Mercedes-Benz GLC will come with 4-wheel-drive as standard. The plug-in-hybrid models will use electric power while tackling off-road situations. Furthermore, the new GLC also gets a 360-degree parking camera which projects a view of the ground underneath on the central screen for better visibility. 

The Mercedes-Benz GLC is one of the best-selling models in the Mercedes-Benz portfolio. It goes up against the BMW X3, Audi Q5, Jaguar F-Pace, Land Rover Discovery Sport, Range Rover Evoque and the Volvo XC60.
