2025 Renault Kwid EV Unveiled In Brazil – New Design, Better Features, Improved Safety | V3Cars
Renault have unveiled the 2025 Kwid EV facelift, officially called the Kwid E-Tech, in Brazil. Renault’s entry-level electric hatchback now sports a sharper design, upgraded features, and enhanced safety.

The new Kwid EV was spotted testing on Indian roads recently, suggesting that the Renault small EV could launch on our shores soon. In this article, we take a loot the heavily refreshed Kwid EV, which could potentially rival the Citroen eC3, MG Comet EV, and the Tata Tiago EV.
2025 Renault Kwid EV Gets Sharper, More Contemporary Design
The Renault Kwid EV 2025 gets a completely refreshed exterior inspired by the Dacia Spring facelift. At the front, it features a closed-off grille with vertical slats, projector headlamps, and LED DRLs. While the side profile remains unchained, the Kwid EV facelift offers black wheel arches and door mouldings, and 14-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, the Renault Kwid E-Tech gets Y-shaped LED tail lamps and prominent E-Tech badging. Overall, the Kwid borrows several design cues from the upcoming Duster SUV.
Updated Cabin With More Tech
Inside, the 2025 Kwid EV has undergone a significant upgrade. The dashboard is now dominated by a 10.1-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while the 7-inch digital instrument cluster gets updated graphics. Other feature highlights include:
- Height-adjustable steering wheel
- 2x USB-C ports
- Console-mounted drive selector
- 290-litre boot
- Improved cabin finishes
These updates make the Kwid E-Tech’s interior feel more premium and functional than before, offering features usually seen in higher segments.
Performance, Range And Charging
The Kwid E-Tech is powered by a 26.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack paired with a 65PS electric motor producing 113Nm of torque. Renault claims the 2025 Kwid EV will offer a range of 180-250km per charge, depending on the test cycle and market.
As for charging the Kwid EV, Renault claims a 30kW DC fast charger could charge the small EV from 15-80% in around 40-45 minutes, while a 7.4kW AC charger will take under 3 hours.
Improved Safety And ADAS Features
Renault has packed the 2025 Kwid EV with several new safety features, including:
- 6 airbags
- ABS with EBD
- Electronic Stability Program (ESP)
- Hill Start Assist
- TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System)
- Rear parking camera
- ISOFIX child-seat mounts
- Seatbelt reminders
Additionally, certain variants in Brazil also offer Level 1 ADAS with up to 11 features, including autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, driver fatigue warning, and cruise control, which is a first for this model.
Renault Kwid EV Expected India Launch And Pricing
Both the Kwid petrol facelift and the Kwid EV have been spotted testing on Indian roads multiple times. Renault, however, hasn’t officially confirmed an India launch yet.
If introduced, the Kwid EV (E-Tech) could be positioned as one of the most affordable electric hatchbacks in India, likely competing with the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV. In Brazil, the 2025 Renault Kwid E-Tech is priced at BRL 99,990, which roughly translates to Rs. 16 lakh. However, the India-spec version, if launched, will likely come with a more localised setup and a lower price tag, possibly starting around the Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 12 lakh mark (ex-showroom).
