The new Kwid EV was spotted testing on Indian roads recently, suggesting that the Renault small EV could launch on our shores soon. In this article, we take a loot the heavily refreshed Kwid EV, which could potentially rival the Citroen eC3, MG Comet EV, and the Tata Tiago EV.

The Renault Kwid EV 2025 gets a completely refreshed exterior inspired by the Dacia Spring facelift. At the front, it features a closed-off grille with vertical slats, projector headlamps, and LED DRLs. While the side profile remains unchained, the Kwid EV facelift offers black wheel arches and door mouldings, and 14-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, the Renault Kwid E-Tech gets Y-shaped LED tail lamps and prominent E-Tech badging. Overall, the Kwid borrows several design cues from the upcoming Duster SUV.

Renault Kwid EV Expected India Launch And Pricing

Both the Kwid petrol facelift and the Kwid EV have been spotted testing on Indian roads multiple times. Renault, however, hasn’t officially confirmed an India launch yet.

If introduced, the Kwid EV (E-Tech) could be positioned as one of the most affordable electric hatchbacks in India, likely competing with the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV. In Brazil, the 2025 Renault Kwid E-Tech is priced at BRL 99,990, which roughly translates to Rs. 16 lakh. However, the India-spec version, if launched, will likely come with a more localised setup and a lower price tag, possibly starting around the Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 12 lakh mark (ex-showroom).
