Toyota recently revealed their all-new Urban Cruiser Hyryder hybrid SUV for our market. The new offering from Toyota rivals other C-Segment SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.

Hyryder features Over Seltos

We pit the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder against the Kia Seltos to tell you 5 features that are missing in the Seltos but present in the Hyryder.

1. Panoramic Sunroof

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder comes with a panoramic sunroof whereas the Kia Seltos gets a regular-sized sunroof. However, the Kia Setlos offers a voice command feature for sunroof operation, which is something missing in the Toyota.

2. Mild- And Strong Hybrid Powertrains

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder comes with 1.5L mild-hybrid and 1.5L strong hybrid powertrain options. While Toyota are yet to reveal the claimed fuel efficiency figures for both engine options, we expect them to lead the segment. The Kia Seltos, on the other hand, offers a diverse range of engine options but none offer any kind of hybridisation.

3. 4-Wheel-Drive

The 1.5L mild-hybrid petrol engine in the Hyryder also comes with the option of 4-wheel-drive, albeit with the manual transmission only. Meanwhile, Kia offer the Seltos with a 4-wheel-drive system in global markets but the India-spec Seltos comes with a front-wheel-drive setup.

4. More Standard Features

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder comes with more standard features than the Kia Seltos. The standard features include keyless entry with push-button start/stop, rear armrest, 3-point seatbelt for all passengers, telescopic steering, 17-inch wheels, auto AC, 60:40 split seats, PM 2.5 air purifier, rear disc brakes, electronic stability control and hill-start assist.
