7 Features Maruti Suzuki Fronx Gets But Renault Kiger Doesn’t | V3Cars

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is the latest offering in the B2-segment SUV space and it will go on sale in the coming months. It goes head on with a range of sub-compact SUVs, including the Renault Kiger.

Features Maruti Suzuki Fronx Gets Over Renault Kiger

In this article, we tell you 7 features that you get in the Maruti Suzuki Fronx but miss in the Renault Kiger.

1. Curtain Airbags

While both the Kiger and Fronx offer dual front and front side thorax airbags, the top variants of the Fronx also offer side curtain airbags. Airbags protect you from a harsh impact in case of an accident and reduce injuries on your face and chest.

2. Auto IRVM

The top variant of the Fronx offers an auto dimming inside rear view mirror (IRVM) whereas the Kiger offers a manual dimming IRVM. An auto dimming IRVM automatically adjusts the brightness depending on the glare coming from behind.

3. 360-Degree Camera

The Fronx offers a 360-degree parking camera over the Kiger, which only gets a reverse parking camera. It is worth noting that a 360-degree parking camera not only offers a bird’s eye view but also warns the driver with an alert in case the system detects any obstacles around the car.

4. Telescopic Steering

The new Fronx gets both tilt and telescopic steering whereas the Kiger only gets tilt steering. The former is sorely missed in the Kiger as a tilt and telescopic steering helps the driver find the ideal driving position that ensures comfort over both short and long drives.

5. Automatic Headlights

While both the Fronx and Kiger offer tri-beam LED headlights, the Fronx further offers the convenience of automatic headlights. Automatic headlights turn on automatically when you enter a dark environment.

6. Paddle Shifters

The turbo petrol automatic variants of the Fronx offer paddle shifters. It is worth mentioning that the Fronx offers a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission whereas the Kiger gets a CVT. The latter doesn’t need paddle shifters as it has infinite ratios.

7. Head-Up Display

The Fronx is the only other sub-compact SUV in the country to offer a head-up display. It uses a projection setup to display data like fuel efficiency, vehicle speed, engine RPM and more. It is worth noting that the Kiger gets a digital instrument cluster but the Fronx gets conventional dials.
