The Hyundai i20, which replaced the Getz, was the first premium hatchback in India and it continues to remain the most feature-loaded car in its segment. However, since its launch, the premium hatchback has seen new contenders and the Altroz is famous for its design and safety.

Features Hyundai i20 Gets But Are Missing In Tata Altroz

In this article, we share features that you get in the Hyundai i20 but miss in the Tata Altroz.

1. Side Thorax And Curtain Airbags

The i20 offers front side thorax and curtain airbags in it’s higher variants whereas the Altroz only offers driver and co-passenger airbags. It is worth mentioning that the Altroz received a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP whereas the i20 scored 3 stars.

2. Rear Disc Brakes

While both the i20 and Altroz offer front disc brakes and rear drum brakes, the N Line variants of the i20 offer rear disc brakes as well. They not only improve the stopping distance and braking force, but also offer better feedback.

3. Auto-Dimming IRVM

The top variants of the i20 offer auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror whereas the Altroz gets a manual day/night IRVM. In fact, only the XE, XE Plus and XM Plus variants of the Altroz don’t even get a manual day/night inside mirror. Auto-dimming IRVM controls the glare coming from the headlamps of vehicles behind and increases visibility at night without any manual intervention.

It is worth mentioning that the mid variants of the i20 also offer wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which is a nice addition to the wireless charging feature.
