    Auto Expo 2018: Mercedes-Benz India launches Maybach S650; showcases Concept EQ and E-Class All-Terrain

    Mercedes-Benz India has launched its flagship model - the luxurious Mercedes-Benz Maybach S650 in the domestic car market of India at the ongoing Auto Expo 2018. Alongside, the top luxury car manufacturer in India has unveiled the Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain, while showcasing the futuristic Mercedes-Benz EQ electric SUV concept model at the expo.

    The Mercedes-Bez Maybach S650 will be offered in two versions in India, namely – the Maybach S650 that is tagged at Rs. 2.73 crore, and the Maybach S650 which is priced at Rs. 1.94 crore (ex-showroom, India).

    On the other hand, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain will be launching in India later this year. Thus, the German luxury auto major has made it evident that it is having an aggressive launch program in India this year as well, by showcasing three models at the Auto Expo 2018, and making the most of the event. Mercedes is also displaying several other models in its stall at the expo, which includes the Mercedes' F1 race car which won the 2017 Formula One championship and the performance centric AMG models like the iconic Mercedes-Benz AMG GT-R.

    Mercedes-Maybach S650 and S560:

    The Mercedes-Benz Maybach is of crucial significance, as it is first Bharat Stage -VI (BS-VI) certified vehicle in India. Mercedes-Benz India’s Chakan plant is the only facility in the whole world other than Germany to roll-out the flagship Maybach branded models. The top-notch luxury car is claimed as the most luxurious sedan by Mercedes-Benz and its certified BS-VI fuel compliant diesel engine offers 286hp and 500 Nm.

    Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain

    Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the bestselling model in Mercedes’ Indian portfolio. The new-gen Mercedes-Benz E-Class Long-Wheel Base version was launched early last year. Now, the E-Class All-Terrain has been unveiled which will go on sale later in 2018. The new off-road version of E-Class sedan is endowed with Mercedes’ 4MATIC all-wheel drive as a standard and also raised ground clearance to offer proper crossover capabilities. There’s also Air Body Control multi-chamber air suspension setup for enhanced rough road performance.

    The Mercedes-Benz E-Class all-terrain will also feature an all-new cabin, all-aluminium trim along with light carbon-grain, stainless steel sports pedals and floor mats with All-Terrain logo and much more.

    The Mercedes E220 d 4-matic all-terrain gets powered by a diesel motor delivers 194 hp and is paired to a 9G-tronic transmission. The company’s DYNAMIC SELECT along with All-Terrain mode is also offered as standard.

    Mercedes-Benz EQ SUV Concept:

    The German luxury auto behemoth’s showstopper at Auto Expo 2018 however, is the Mercedes-Benz EQ concept. The EQ concept is an all-electric SUV model which was first showcased at the 2017 Paris Motor Show. The EQ Concept is a highly futuristic e-SUV which is meant to change the entire notion of EVs and aims at breaking the range and power stigmas related to the EVs. Mercedes has confirmed that the EQ Concept’s production version will be introduced by 2020. The EQ SUV concept can offer a massive power output of 400 hp and offer over 600 km of range on a single recharge.
