BYD E6 electric MPV will be sold in Delhi-NCR and Greater Mumbai in 2022, as Group Landmark, a multi-brand auto dealer, have partnered with BYD, a Chinese carmaker. The E6 MPV was recently launched and is only available for commercial buyers for now. It costs Rs. 29.15 lakh (ex-showroom).
The E6 is an electric 5-seater MPV. It gets a 71.1kWh battery that produces 95PS of power and 180Nm of torque. It has a claimed city range of 520km and a combined range of 415km. A DC fast charger, if you can find one, can juice it from 30% to 80% in 35 minutes.
For the uninitiated, BYD (Build Your Dreams) are a Chinese carmaker with many EVs and hybrids along with some IC cars in their portfolio. They are also popular among commercial buyers and even sell electric buses in many countries.
Group Landmark are a multi-brand auto dealer. They sell cars from many manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Jeep, Volkswagen and Renault. They focus on new and pre-owned vehicle sales, after sales service and spares. Currently, they have 113 outlets across 32 cities in 8 states in India.
