The diesel Creta has also seen a price hike of around Rs 12,000 across all the variants. However, Hyundai has not changed the price of the entry-level E variant. The Creta diesel gets a 1.5-litre engine mated to a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The Creta continues to rival the likes of the Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks and Renault Duster. Price-wise it also competes with the Mahindra Thar and higher variants of sub-4m SUVs like Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport and the Toyota Urban Cruiser.
