    New Hyundai Tucson SUV launches in India starting at Rs. 18.99 lakhs

    The much awaited new Hyundai Tucson SUV has finally launched in the Indian car market after innumerable speculations and reports. The new Hyundai Tucson has launched in the domestic car market of India, today at an introductory price range of Rs. 18.99 lakhs to Rs. 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Tucson is currently in its third generation model and fills up the gap that existed above the popular Hyundai Creta compact SUV and the flagship model Hyundai Santa Fe SUV.

The new Hyundai Tucson has launched in the domestic car market of India, today at an introductory price range of Rs. 18.99 lakhs to Rs. 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Tucson is currently in its third generation model and fills up the gap that existed above the popular Hyundai Creta compact SUV and the flagship model Hyundai Santa Fe SUV.

    The Hyundai Tucson will be available in both diesel and petrol versions and comes with three model trims - 2WD MT, 2WD AT GL, and 2WD AT GLS. The all new Tucson locks its horns with the Honda CR-V, Mahindra SsangYong Rexton and Skoda Yeti in the compact premium SUV segment of India.

    The new Hyundai Tucson flaunts the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. It boasts of the patent large hexagonal chrome finished grille flanked by sleek and sharply designed projector headlights. The SUV also gets muscular bumper, attractive horizontal LED fog lights and LED DRLs for an aggressive face.

    The new Tucson’s side and rear profiles are reminiscent of the more premium and bigger Santa Fe. The vehicle gets stylish 17 or 18-inch alloy wheels (manual/automatic), roof rails, flowing character lines, chunky underbody plastic cladding and silver finished side skirts. The rear design flaunts highly stylized wraparound LED tail lights, large and sculpted tailgate, rear bumper with plastic cladding and dual exhaust tips in chrome.

    The all new Hyundai Tucson has a feature laden premium cabin that comes with dual tone black & beige color scheme, premium fabric or leather upholstery depending on variants, a large 8 inch touchscreen integrated infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, Navigation, Bluetooth, voice recognition AUX and USB, multifunctional steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat, rear AC vents, keyless entry, automatic headlights, rear AC vents, cruise control and much more on higher variants. The SUV also boasts of a new Drive Mode Select feature with three different drive modes - Normal, Sport and Eco.

    Safety features on the SUV includes dual airbags, ABS and EBD as standard across all variants, while higher models also offer side and curtain airbags as well. Other safety equipments include electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, brake assist, hill-start assist control, downhill brake control (DBC), reverse camera with dynamic guidelines, parking sensors on both front and rear ends and more.

    The new Hyundai Tucson comes with a 2.0L petrol and a 2L diesel motor choice. The VTVT petrol mill offers 153 bhp of power at 6,200 rpm and top torque of 192 Nm at 4,000 rpm, while CRDi diesel mill generates 182 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm at 1,750 - 2,750 rpm. Both the motors are paired to a 6 speed manual and a 6 speed automatic transmission choice. While only 2WD variants are now available, 4WD variants will also be offered in 2017.
