Ahead of the official bookings, which start on january 14, 2022, some Kia dealers are already accepting bookings for the new Kia Carens. Our sources confirmed this information to us and suggest that those who want to stay ahead in the booking queue should contact a Kia dealership directly to get an early delivery.

On the powertrain front, the Carens will come with 3 engine options. The base 1.5L normal petrol engine, with 115PS and 144Nm, will come with a 6-speed manual. Both the 1.4L turbo petrol, with 140PS and 242Nm, and 1.5L diesel, with 115PS and 250Nm, will come standard with a 6-speed manual along with 7-speed DCT and 6-speed torque converter options respectively. We expect Kia to launch the Carens in Q1 of 2022 and it will compete with the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector Plus, Maruti Suzuki Nexa XL6 and Mahindra Marazzo.
