Kia India are all set to reveal the prices of the EV6 electric crossover tomorrow. Bookings for the EV6 are already open for a token amount of Rs. 3 lakh. Kia have assigned only 15 dealerships across 12 cities in the country to sell and service the EV6. We expect Kia India to price the EV6 in the range of Rs. 55 lakh to Rs. 60 lakh ex-showroom.

The EV6 is based on Kia’s new Opposite United design philosophy and thanks to its curvy proportions, it looks deceivingly compact for its size. Kia India will exclusively offer the EV6 with the GT Line trim. Some design highlights of the EV6 include all-LED adaptive headlights, connected LED taillights with sequential turn indicators, flush-fitting door handles, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The EV6 gets a charging port inside the right tail light casing that supports both 400V and 800V chargers.
The Kia EV6 will come with all the bells and whistles one can expect in this segment. In addition to that, the EV6 will be the first Kia offering in the country to offer a full kit of autonomous driving assistance systems (ADAS).

The India-spec Kia EV6 will come with a 77.4kWh battery pack and a WLTP-certified range of 528km on a single charge. Kia will offer two drivetrain options with the EV6 — rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive. The rear-wheel-drive EV6 produces 229PS of power whereas the all-drive-version delivers 325PS of power and 605Nm of torque.
Kia EV6 will go up against the soon-to-be-launched Volvo XC40 Recharge and Hyundai Ioniq 5. It is worth noting that Hyundai India are looking to locally assemble the Ioniq 5 to play with high volumes as opposed to just 100 units of the EV6 in the first batch of import.
