Tata Motors has launched the limited edition Hexa Downtown in India. Available with two packages, which are 'Absolute' and 'Indulgence', the prices of the Hexa Downtown start at Rs 12.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base XE variant. According to the manufacturer, this limited downtown edition of Hexa shows the premium side of the SUV.

Let’s have a look at the offerings of this Limited Edition of the SUV in details. The downtown edition of Tata Hexa gets around 15 additional features as compared to the regular Tata Hexa SUV. Along with the exclusive 'Downtown' moniker the SUV also offers a new Urban Bronze color for the exterior. Other features include tan leather seat covers and a chrome suite pack, adding a dash of chrome on the front end, side-steps and the wing mirrors. Apart from these, wireless phone charging and 10.1-inch rear seat entertainment unit from Blaupunkt along with a heads-up display (HUD), a tyre pressure monitor system and newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels make the SUV more comfortable for the passengers.
Mechanically, the Hexa Downtown Urban edition will offer the same engine options as the regular model. The 2.2-litre turbo diesel motor offered in two states of tune. While the rear-wheel driven lower variant it produces 148bhp and 320Nm of torque mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, the higher variant it churns out 154bhp and 400Nm of peak torque with six-speed manual and automatic gearbox with either rear wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
Available in limited numbers, the downtown urban edition Tata Hexa can be booked at any Tata Motors dealerships across the country from 3rd November 2017. Launched in January 2017, the prices of the regular Tata Hexa start from Rs 11.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the XE 4x2 variant and goes up to Rs 17.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the XTA 4x2 variant. Tata Motors has sold a total of 10,478 units of Hexa in its first nine months till September end. The crossover recorded its best ever sales in August by selling 1,715 units, owing to the then prevalent reduced tax applicable under the GST regime on large cars and SUVs. The Tata Hexa takes against the likes of Mahindra XUV500 and Toyota Innova.
