2022 Mahindra Scorpio N To Come In 5 Variants — Details Leaked | V3Cars

The variant details of the much-anticipated 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N leaked online. As per a new report, Mahindra will offer the new Scorpio N in 5 variants — Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8L. In addition to that, only the manual and automatic diesel engine of the Scorpio is likely to offer 4-wheel-drive.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio N

The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N will borrow its powertrain options from the Mahindra XUV700 and Thar. Unlike the Thar, the Scorpio N is likely to offer 4-wheel-drive with diesel engine variants only. A few spy shots revealed that Mahindra could offer the Scorpio N with side-facing rear jump seats in the base variant, which is likely to be the Z2. In the higher-spec variants, the Scorpio N will get front-facing rear seats.

The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N will come with the following features:

  • LED fog lights with DRLs
  • LED Projector headlights
  • 6 airbags
  • Dual-zone climate control 
  • Leather seat upholstery
  • Electronic stability program
  • Tilt & telescopic steering
  • Push-button start/stop
  • Cruise control
  • Sunroof

On the powertrain front, the 2.2L turbo diesel engine in the Scorpio N could offer 175PS of power and 370Nm of torque with the 6-speed manual and 400Nm of torque with the 6-speed automatic transmission. The lower variants of the Scorpio N diesel may offer a lower power output of 130PS. Speaking of the 2.0L turbo petrol engine, the recently leaked details suggest that it will offer the same power and torque output as the XUV700. Hence, we can expect the Scorpio N petrol to offer 200PS of power and 380Nm of torque.

Mahindra will launch the 2022 Scorpio N on June 27. Apart from the Scorpio N, Mahindra will also launch the Scorpio Classic to continue the legacy of the current-generation Scorpio. The 2022 Scorpio N will go up against the likes of the Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
