Here are the tentative prices of Mahindra Thar variants after the revised GST comes into effect on September 22, 2025. However, Mahindra have started offering the Thar at new pricing ahead of the official revision. In this article, we will also present the old vs new price comparison to help you identify which variant of the Thar is getting the biggest price cuts and which ones are getting the least.

Important Note: Please note that these are tentative prices sourced from a fairly reliable channel but Mahindra may choose to adjust the pricing a bit when they come into effect on September 22, 2025. The current Thar price structure with GST benefits appears to also give consumers some discounts on top of the GST benefits. Mahindra may increase or decrease their margins with certain Thar variants to respect certain psychological barriers such as round figures.

The following table presents the current and new tentative prices of the Thar as per the new GST rates along with the price difference and the approximate relative drop in percentage for each variant:

Looking at this information, we can say that the typical price drop is likely to be around 5.4 - 5.75% across most 4WD variants. For the 1.5L RWD manual variants, the price drop is around 10.3%. In terms of absolute amount, the post GST price drop of Mahindra Thar may stretch as far as Rs. 1.35 lakh with the Thar 1.5L turbo diesel-manual 2WD variant.
