The Hyundai Bayon 2026 offers several premium comfort, convenience, technology and safety features. Highlights include AI-powered voice assistance, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS. It also gets a large 505-litre boot and a 1.5L non-turbo petrol engine with manual and CVT automatic transmission options.

Here are the top 15 features of the Hyundai Bayon.
The Hyundai Bayon HX 10 top model gets generative AI-powered voice assistance, with Perplexity providing AI features and SoundHound AI powering voice interaction. The system is designed to let occupants access information and assistance through natural conversation, making it one of the SUV’s key technology highlights.
The 2026 Bayon features a Dash Boost Mode, which Hyundai say provides an instant boost while overtaking. The behaviour described is typical of kickdown in an automatic transmission. Pressing the accelerator harder prompts the gearbox to shift to a lower ratio, allowing the engine to rev higher and deliver more performance. This is similar to downshifting in a manual car before overtaking.
The new Hyundai SUV also offers 3 drive modes - Eco, Normal and Sport - in the HX 5, HX6, HX 8 and HX 10 automatic variants. The drive modes are selectable through a button on the steering wheel.
The Bayon’s HX6, HX8 and HX10 variants get a panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting. The panoramic sunroof adds to the cabin’s sense of space and openness, while the ambient lighting on the dashboard and inside the door pockets adds a more premium touch, particularly when driving at night.
All variants of the Bayon offer LED projector headlamps and H-edge LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) and H-edge LED tail lamps. These lighting elements give the Bayon a distinctive front and rear design.
The HX 6, HX 8 and HX 10 variants further offer dual LED projector headlamps. Compared with a single-projector setup, dual LED projectors can offer greater flexibility in light distribution and beam design. It also gives the front end a more premium appearance. However, actual visibility depends on the headlamp's design and calibration.
The Bayon HX 6, HX 8 and HX 10 variants get 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels whereas the HX 3 Plus and HX 5 variants offer 17-inch styled steel wheels. The base HX 2 and HX 3 variants are offered with 16-inch steel wheels with wheel covers.
All variants get an integrated roof spoiler and a high-mount stop lamp.
The Bayon’s HX 8 and HX 10 variants offer 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, allowing the driver to fine-tune the seating position. The top 2 variants also offer front ventilated seats, which are useful in hot and humid weather.
The cabin of the top 2 variants further feature leatherette seat upholstery, a 2-tone dashboard with fabric inserts and a 2-tone steering wheel.
The Bayon HX 8 and HX 10 variants offer 2-step reclinable rear seats, allowing occupants to adjust the backrest angle for added comfort. Additionally, these variants also offer height-adjustable rear headrests. All other variants offer a fixed rear headrest.
The 2026 Bayon offers a claimed boot capacity of 505 litres, which is 130 litres and 72 litres larger than the boot in the Venue and Creta, respectively.
The top HX 10 variant of the Bayon gets an 8-speaker Bose premium sound system. This should appeal to buyers who prioritise in-car audio quality, whether they listen to music, podcasts or other audio content during their commute.
The Bayon HX 8 and HX 10 variants get a 360-degree camera system to help the driver assess the area around the vehicle while parking or manoeuvring in tight spaces. The HX 10 variant further adds a blind-view monitor, which provides an additional view of areas that may be difficult to see in the conventional ORVMs.
Rear parking sensors are standard while front parking sensors are only offered in the top HX 10 variant.
The Bayon features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay from the HX 3 variant onwards. This feature allows compatible smartphones to connect to the infotainment system without a cable.
As for the infotainment system, The HX 3, HX 3 Plus, HX 5, HX 6 and HX 8 variants get a 10.25-inch touchscreen while the top HX 10 offers a larger 12.3-inch unit along with a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster.
The Bayon’s HX 5 and above variants also offer a wireless smartphone charger. Other convenience features include a smart key with push-button start, which is offered from the HX 3 variant onwards.
The Bayon HX 5 and above variants offer over-the-air (OTA) updates for several electronic control units and vehicle systems, including the data connectivity unit, instrument cluster, fully automatic temperature control, wireless power charger, parking ADAS ECU, integrated safety control module, body domain controller and central communication unit.
OTA capability allows supported software updates to be delivered without requiring every update to be installed through a conventional workshop visit.
The top Bayon HX 10 variant gets a range of Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including:
These systems can assist with maintaining speed and distance, monitoring lane position and warning the driver of certain potential collisions.
The Bayon gets 6 airbags as standard, along with electronic stability control (ESC), hill-start assist control and an anti-theft alarm. A tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is also offered as standard. These features add to the SUV’s occupant protection and driver assistance package.
The Bayon HX 8 and HX 10 variants offer disc brakes on all 4 wheels. The HX 8 automatic and HX 10 manual and automatic variants also feature an electronic parking brake (EPB) with auto hold, which can hold the vehicle stationary when stopped and reduce the need to keep the brake pedal pressed on inclines.
ISOFIX child-seat anchorages are part of the standard safety package.
The Hyundai Bayon is powered by a 1.5L non-turbo petrol engine that produces 115PS of power and 144Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual transmission and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The CVT gets paddle shifters.
