Next-Gen MG Hector To Go On Sale Alongside The Current Hector — Launch In Late 2022 | V3Cars
MG Motor India have officially confirmed the launch timeline for the next-gen Hector. MG will launch the 2023 Hector in late 2022 and it will go on sale alongside the current-gen Hector. We expect MG Motor India to keep both the Hector and Hector Plus on sale, even after the launch of the next-gen Hector.
MG Motor India also revealed their sales figures of 4,013 units for the month of July. In addition to that, the Chinese-owned British carmaker revealed the launch timeline for their best selling model – the 2023 MG Hector. A couple of days earlier, MG revealed that the next-gen Hector will boast a segment-largest 14.0-inch vertically-stacked touchscreen infotainment system.

MG are yet to reveal other details of the next-gen Hector. We expect it to feature a new design and more features than before. With the new-gen model, MG could also finally introduce a diesel automatic option for the Hector. Currently, the Hector and the Hector Plus come with a FCA-sourced 2.0L turbo diesel and a 1.5L turbo petrol engine. While the diesel engine gets a sole 6-speed manual transmission option, the 1.5L turbo petrol engine comes with a 6-speed manual, CVT and a hybrid option as well.
