Skoda has launched the Kuhsaq at a price of Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom India). It is a compact SUV that takes on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Setos, Renault Duster, Maruti S-Cross, Nissan Kicks and the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun. Skoda Kushaq is available in three variants: Active, Ambition and Style, prices range from Rs 10.50 lakh to Rs 17.60 lakh (ex-showroom India).
The Kushaq is offered with a set of turbocharged petrol engines. While the 1.0-litre TSI unit makes 115PS and 178Nm, the 1.5-litre TSI unit is good for 150PS and 250Nm. Both the engines are mated to a 6-speed MT as standard with an option of 6-speed AT and 7-speed DSG with 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre engines, respectively. While the 1.0-litre unit is available in all variants, the 1.5-litre engine is limited to the top-spec Style variant only.
The Kushaq takes on likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti S Cross, Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster and the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun. Pricewise, it also competes with some variants of the bigger MG Hector.
The Kushaq is equipped with features like auto LED headlamps, auto AC with rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, electric sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming IRVM, cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering, parking camera, wireless mobile charging, ambient lighting and connected car tech.
The Kushaq gets up to 6 airbags. Other safety features on offer include ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, multi-collision braking, hill launch assist, electronic stability program and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
The Kushaq gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It is paired with a Skoda branded sound system.
