Tata Nexon & Altroz Black Edition Bookings Open Ahead Of July 7 Launch | V3Cars
The Dark Edition variants of the Altroz and the Nexon were spotted recently suggesting their imminent launch. Now, the carmaker has officially confirmed that the Nexon and the Altroz Dark Edition will go on sale on 7 July. Bookings for the special edition models are already underway.

As reported earlier, both the cars will feature an all-black exterior with a blacked-out grille, fog lamp housing, ORVMs and black alloy wheels. They will also feature a matt black finish on ‘Nexon’ and ‘Altroz’ badging on the tailgate along with a ‘#Dark’ badging on the front fender.
Similarly, on the inside, both the cars will get an all-black cabin replacing the dual-tone finish found on the standard Nexon and Altoz.
The Harrier Dark Edition is offered only on the top variants of the Harrier like XT, XT+, XZ and XZ+. Similarly, the Altroz Dark Edition and the Nexon Dark Edition should also be offered in the higher variants only. While the Nexon Dark Edition is expected to be available in XZ, XZ+, XZ+(S) and XZ+(O) variants, the Altroz Dark Edition is likely to be offered in XT, XZ, XZ(O) and XZ+.
Under the hood, both the Dark Edition models will be powered by the same set of engines as the standard car. The Altroz is offered with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (86PS/113Nm), a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine (110PS/140Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (90PS and 200Nm). All three engines are offered with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The Nexon, on the other hand, is offered with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine (120PS/170Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel engine (110PS/260Nm). Both the engines are offered with a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AMT.
The Altroz and Nexon Dark Editions are expected to be priced at a premium of Rs 20,000 over the corresponding variants. While the Nexon is priced from Rs 7.19 lakh to Rs 12.95 lakh, the Altroz retails from Rs 5.79 lakh and Rs 9.55 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
