Along with the Altroz Dark Edition, Tata has launched the Dark Edition variant of the Nexon twins: Nexon and Nexon EV.

The Nexon Dark Edition gets Atlas Black exterior colour with Sonic Silver beltline and black alloys. It also gets the ‘#Dark’ badge on the front fender. The Nexon EV Dark Edition, on the other hand, gets Midnight black exterior colour with Satin Black finish on the beltline and the front grille. It continues to get Black alloys and ‘#Dark’ badge on the front fender like the IC-powered Nexon Dark Edition. That said, to set itself apart, the Nexon EV also gets electric blue colour inserts on the fog lamp housing and central air dam. It also features EV badging around the car.

Nexon Dark Edition

On the inside, the standard Nexon Dark Edition gets an all-black cabin with a Dark interior pack. It also gets a black Tri Arrow dashboard panel, black leatherette seats with tri arrow perforations, #Dark embroidery on the front headrests and door trims with a Tri Arrow theme.

Nexon EV Dark Edition

The Nexon EV also gets an all-black cabin with electric blue inserts around the AC vents, central floor console and instrument cluster. It also gets electric blue stitching on the seat and steering cover. Other Dark Edition exclusive elements include a dark-themed glossy piano black dashboard with tri-arrow design, dark themed leatherette upholstery with tri-arrow perforations on door trims and  #Dark embroidery on front headrests. The Nexon EV Dark Edition XZ+ variant also gets a rear seat central armrest with cup holders, 60:40 rear seat split and adjustable rear seat headrest which are otherwise offered only on the top-spec XZ+ Lux variant only. 

The standard Nexon Dark Edition get the same 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine (120PS/170Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel engine (110PS/260Nm) as the standard SUV. Both these engines are offered with a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AMT. The Nexon EV, on the other hand, gets an electric motor producing 129PS and 245Nm paired to a 30.2kWh Li-ion battery pack. 

In terms of features, both the Nexon Dark Editions are identical to standard models. They are equipped with features like an electric sunroof, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple  CarPlay and Android Auto, auto AC, Harman sound system, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, iRA connected car tech, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, parking camera, tyre pressure monitoring system and ISOFIX child seat anchors. The IC-powered Nexon also gets electronic stability control and hill launch assist which are not offered on the Nexon EV.
