The Tigor facelift comes with an upgraded BS6 version of the same 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that powered its predecessor. This engine now offers 86PS of power and 113Nm of torque on the Tigor. The car still gets equipped with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT automatic option as before.
The refreshed 2020 Tata Tigor sedan now comes only with a single petrol engine option, as Tata Motors has discontinued its diesel version. The company has decided not to upgrade the diesel engines of its small cars to adhere to the BS6 emission norms. This is because the demand for diesel cars is dwindling fast as BS6 transition is expected to widen the price gap between petrol and diesel cars.
