Toyota Kirloskar have launched the 2022 Toyota Hilux in India. The 2022 Hilux is priced from Rs. 33.99 lakh ex-showroom. Toyota offer the Hilux in three variants.

The Toyota Hilux is equipped with a 2.0L turbo-diesel engine and 4-wheel-drive. The Hilux gets two transmission options – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. While the Hilux manual puts out 204PS of power and 420Nm of torque, the Hilux automatic gets a power output of 204PS and peak torque of 500Nm.

The Hilux has been in production since 1968 and Toyota have sold over 20 million Hilux pick-up trucks across the world. In addition to that, the Hilux is the best-selling model in 16 countries worldwide.
In India, the 2022 Toyota Hilux goes up against the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. In the global markets, Isuzuki have updated the V-Cross with a new generation but that is yet to hit our shores.
