The Kushaq facelift gets a host of changes inside-out. Toyota unveiled the Urban Cruiser Ebella EV in January. The launch of the Ebella SUV will mark Toyota's return to the mass-market battery electric vehicle (BEV) segment in India. Bookings for the Ebella are currently open.
Toyota are offering the Urban Cruiser Ebella with 2 battery pack options – 49kWh and 61kWh. The larger 61kWh battery delivers 174PS and 189Nm, with a claimed range of up to 543km on a single charge (ARAI-certified). The smaller battery produces 144PS while torque remains unchanged. Both versions use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries and feature front-wheel drive.
Given its badge-engineered relationship with the Maruti e Vitara, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella is expected to command a slight premium. We expect prices to start at around Rs. 16.50 lakh and go up to approximately Rs. 21 lakh (ex-showroom).
