VinFast Unveiled Lac Hong 800S And 900S (Press Release) | V3Cars

Here’s what VinFast have to say about the new brand structure and Lac Hong models:

VinFast announced the completion of its strategic restructuring into three distinct automotive brand lines and officially unveiled two new flagship ultra-luxury models — the Lac Hong 800S and the Lac Hong 900S. The two models join the Lac Hong line, VinFast’s ultra-luxury marque, alongside the company’s established VF mass-market passenger vehicle range and the Green commercial mobility brand.

Under this structured brand architecture, Lac Hong represents the pinnacle of ultra-luxury and has been conceived to honour national pride. The line currently comprises the 900 LX, 900S, and 800S models. The VF line includes VinFast’s comprehensive portfolio of mass-market passenger EVs across segments, ranging from VF 3 to VF 9, including the seven-seat VF MPV 7. Meanwhile, the Green brand has been developed specifically for commercial and service mobility solutions, featuring models such as Limo Green, Herio Green, Nerio Green, and Minio Green.

As part of this clearly defined strategic structure, VinFast has introduced the Lac Hong 800S and 900S as new additions to its ultra-luxury portfolio, complementing the flagship Lac Hong 900 LX — including its advanced armored version — first introduced in 2025.

Inspired by Vietnam’s cultural heritage and embodying the courage, intellect, and stature of the nation, the new models combine design and craftsmanship comparable with the world’s most prestigious ultra-luxury vehicles. The Lac Hong 800S presents a bold, powerful, and refined aesthetic, while the Lac Hong 900S reflects classical luxury values expressed through timeless elegance.

Both vehicles share a cohesive design language enriched with symbolic detailing and premium materials. The grille features straight vertical slats inspired by the resilience of Vietnamese bamboo, while the wing-shaped emblem represents the Lac bird in ascent. Decorative motifs inspired by the Dong Son bronze drum and terraced rice fields are integrated across both exterior and interior elements, reflecting cultural heritage and national pride. The “Lac Hong” wordmark itself is crafted in a calligraphic style and rendered in genuine gold-plated alloy, creating a distinctive brand signature.

Inside, the cabins of the Lac Hong 800S and 900S are finished with premium materials such as Nappa leather, rare woods, and gold-plated accents. Both vehicles integrate advanced intelligent technologies and comprehensive safety systems alongside ultra-luxury amenities including zero-gravity executive seating, automatic power-assisted doors, and premium entertainment systems from globally recognised brands.

The Lac Hong 900S further enhances exclusivity with a privacy partition separating the cockpit and rear cabin, a starlight headliner, a large-format projection entertainment system, and a foldable executive workstation for second-row occupants. These features transform the vehicle into a mobile environment designed for travel, productivity, and leisure.

In terms of performance, both models are equipped with a new fully active suspension system engineered to deliver exceptional ride comfort and dynamic stability. They can also be configured with a tri-motor powertrain — consisting of one front motor and two rear motors — producing a combined output of up to 460 kW, delivering performance aligned with their ultra-luxury positioning.

The Lac Hong 800S and 900S are scheduled for commercial launch in 2027.

To date, VinFast has introduced more than 15 electric vehicle models and has maintained its leadership position in Vietnam for 16 consecutive months. In 2025 alone, the company delivered 175,099 vehicles in Vietnam, setting a national sales record and further strengthening its position as one of the country’s most prominent automotive brands.
