In this Renault Kiger vs Mahindra XUV300 comparison, we’ll look at the variant-wise prices, engine specs, dimensions and features to help you decide which car you should buy.

Let’s first look at the prices of both the cars for the petrol-manual powertrain.
With the petrol-manual powertrain, the Renault Kiger’s prices start at Rs. 6.50 lakh and top out at Rs. 10.23 lakh(ex-showroom). The Mahindra XUV300’s petrol-manual range costs between Rs. 7.99 lakh and Rs. 13.16 lakh(ex-showroom).
The Kiger petrol-automatic is available in 7 variants, with prices ranging from Rs. 8.47 lakh to Rs. 11.23 lakh(ex-showroom). The XUV300’s 3 petrol-automatic variants cost between Rs. 10.70 lakh and Rs. 13.44 lakh(ex-showroom).
Renault Kiger is not available with diesel-manual powertrain. The XUV300 diesel-manual is available in 6 variants with prices ranging from Rs. 10.22 lakh to Rs. 14.08 lakh(ex-showroom).
Renault Kiger is not available with diesel-automatic powertrain. The XUV300 diesel-automatic is available in 3 variants with prices ranging from Rs. 12.31 lakh to Rs. 14.75 lakh(ex-showroom).

The Renault Kiger and the Mahindra XUV300 are both SUVs. The Kiger is 3991mm long, 1750mm wide and 1650mm tall. The Kiger’s wheelbase is 2500mm long. The XUV300 measures 3995mm long, 1821mm wide and 1627mm tall and has a wheelbase measuring 2600mm. In terms of dimensions, the Renault Kiger is slightly smaller than the Mahindra XUV300. So, the XUV300 will offer a stronger road presence than the Kiger.
The Kiger has a ground clearance of 205mm while the XUV300 has a ground clearance of 180mm. The 405-litre boot space of the Kiger is 148 litres larger than that of the XUV300.
The Renault Kiger is available with 2 petrol engines - a 1.0L normal petrol and a 1.0L turbo petrol engine. The 1.0L normal petrol gets a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT automatic transmission, while the 1.0L turbo petrol is available with a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission.
The 1.0L normal petrol engine of the Kiger makes 72PS of power at 6250rpm and 96Nm of torque at 3500rpm. The 1.0L turbo petrol engine in the Renault Kiger pushes out 100PS of power at 5000rpm and 160Nm of torque between 2800 and 3600rpm with the manual and 152PS of torque between 2200 and 4400rpm with the automatic transmission.
The Mahindra XUV300 is available with two 1.2L turbo petrol engine options. While the turbo petrol engine with the lower power and torque rating is available with both a 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT automatic transmission, the more powerful turbo petrol is only available with a 6-speed manual. The XUV300’s 1.2L turbo petrol engine with multi-point fuel injection system makes 110PS of power at 5000rpm and 200Nm of torque between 2000rpm and 3500rpm. The XUV300’s 1.2L turbo petrol engine with direct fuel injection system makes 130PS of power at 5000rpm and 230Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 3700rpm.

The Mahindra XUV300 only gets a 1.5L turbo diesel engine, which is available with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT automatic transmission. The XUV300’s turbo diesel engine makes 117PS of power at 3750rpm and 300Nm of torque between 1500rpm and 2500rpm.
