By now, you also know that the new Baleno will get a 3-cylinder engine instead of the more refined 4-cylinder engine. Now, we have more leaked information about the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift. We can now confirm from our sources that the upcoming 2026 Maruti Baleno facelift will lose the 1.2L 4-cylinder engine. It will get the 1.2L 3-cylinder engine, which is available with the Swift and Dzire. This will, undoubtedly, have an adverse effect on the refinement of the Baleno. We have recently learned from a fairly reliable source that the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift will get a new Alpha (O) top model. This new nomenclature will bring the total variant count to 5 --- Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha & Alpha (O). This new Alpha (O) variant will bring ADAS features such as radar-based rear blind spot warning, safe exit warning and rear cross traffic alert. It's also likely that the Baleno may gain the front parking sensors feature to make it a compelling small car with this useful safety feature. It's unlikely that the Baleno's ADAS feature list would outshine that of the Brezza's.

We have learned from a fairly reliable source that Maruti Suzuki will soon launch the Baleno 2026 facelift model with the option of CNG + automatic powertrain. It looks like this is the first time Maruti Suzuki will be offering any kind of automatic with a CNG bi-fuel variant of any car straight from the factory.
