The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza is likely to hit Maruti Arena showrooms in May 2022. The 2022 Vitara Brezza will be based on the same Global-C platform as before. However, it will get improved sheet metal, chassis strengthening and up to 6 airbags to make it safer than the current Vitara Brezza. Leaked images of the 2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza suggest it will get a revamped design at the front and rear for a sleeker look.

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza will be the second major launch from Maruti, after the 2022 Baleno. In terms of design, the 2022 Brezza will get a sleeker front grille, flanked by slimmer and longer LED headlights. We expect some changes to the bonnet and bumper design as well. On the side, the ORVMs are expected to retain their design, albeit with the integration of cameras to offer a 360-degree view. At the rear, the 2022 Brezza will get slimmer LED taillights and large Brezza insignia at the centre of the boot lid.

We expect the new Vitara Brezza to be powered by the same 1.5L normal petrol engine as before. However, this time around, Maruti is likely to offer its smart-hybrid technology with manual variants as well. Check out the table below for the engine specifications of the outgoing Vitara Brezza’s 1.5L normal petrol engine.
Speaking of transmissions, the new Vitara Brezza will retain its 5-speed manual but ditch the ageing 4-speed automatic transmission for a new 6-speed torque converter automatic with paddle shifters. With the new automatic transmission, we expect improved fuel economy figures when compared to the older Vitara Brezza 4AT.

Rumours also suggest that Maruti has scrapped plans of offering a diesel engine with the 2022 Vitara Brezza. Instead, Maruti will offer a CNG powertrain to keep running costs down. It remains to be seen if Maruti offer the CNG option with all variants of the 2022 Vitara Brezza.

With the added safety and features, we expect the prices of the 2022 Brezza to go up significantly over the current model. Check out the current prices of the Vitara Brezza below.
We expect Maruti to charge a premium of around Rs. 1 lakh over the corresponding variants of the outgoing Brezza. Maruti is expected to commence bookings for the 2022 Vitara Brezza soon, while the launch could take place in May. The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza will take on the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and the Mahindra XUV300.
