Upcoming Hyundai Cars In India 2022 | V3Cars

Hyundai will launch several new cars and SUVs in India this year. Apart from brand-new models, Hyundai is expected to give existing models a facelift and new features to keep them relevant in the face of stiff competition. Let’s take a look at the upcoming launches from Hyundai for 2022.

Upcoming Hyundai Cars

Hyundai Venue Facelift

Hyundai India will soon launch the Venue facelift in the country. The sub-compact Venue facelift has been spied on our roads wearing camouflage. Based on these spy shots, we can confirm that the overall body style will remain the same as before. However, faux body panels at the front and rear suggest the Venue could get extensive changes in these areas.

Hyundai is also expected to add new features, such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, and drive modes. We also expect Hyundai to offer a diesel automatic transmission, as Kia does with the Sonet. Hyundai are expected to launch the Venue facelift before or during the festive season.

Hyundai Creta Facelift

The Hyundai Creta has received a facelift in Indonesia. The Creta facelift features a revamped front profile inspired by the 2022 Tucson. We expect Hyundai to introduce the Creta facelift along with some feature additions in India by Diwali this year.

Apart from a new grille with integrated LED DRLs, the Creta facelift could get a couple of new features on the inside. Expect to find a fully-digital instrument cluster, adaptive cruise control and various autonomous driving aids in the Creta facelift.

2022 Hyundai Tucson

Hyundai are likely to launch the 2022 Tucson this year. The 2022 Tucson has been spied multiple times on our roads. Rumours suggest that the India-spec Tucson will be based on the long-wheelbase version available in international markets. What’s more, we could be the first market to receive the Tucson with a 7-seater configuration. The 2022 Tucson could also become the first Hyundai in India to offer Advanced Driver Assistance (ADAS) features.

The 2022 Tucson is likely to be powered by the current-gen Tucson’s 2.0L normal petrol and 2.0L turbo-diesel engines. The 7-seater 2022 Tucson could make its entry in the market in the middle of this year. It will take on the likes of the upcoming Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.

Hyundai Ioniq 5

Hyundai could also launch the Ioniq 5 electric crossover in India this year. It will be sold via the CBU route. The Ioniq 5 shares its battery and platform with the Kia EV6 — which is also India bound this year.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 comes with two battery pack options — 58kWh and 77.4kWh. The latter comes with a 4WD option as well. Hyundai claim the long-range model can deliver a range of up to 527km on a single charge. We expect Hyundai to launch the Ioniq 5 by June 2022.

Hyundai Kona EV Facelift

Hyundai India are likely to launch the Kona EV facelift this year. The Kona EV facelift will be assembled on our shores. It will offer refreshed styling along with a bigger battery pack to deliver more range than before. The new Kona EV facelift comes with two battery options — 39.2kWh and 64kWh. With the facelift, Hyundai India could offer both battery options for different sets of buyers. The Hyundai Kona EV will rival the MG ZS EV and the upcoming Tata Nexon EV long-range.

Hyundai Venue N Line

Hyundai India are expected to extend their N Line range with the launch of the Venue N Line. The Venue N Line will be based on the Venue facelift and is expected to offer mechanical tweaks along with a sporty body kit. We expect the Venue N Line to follow the same recipe as the i20 N Line — with ingredients like a retuned suspension, recalibrated steering, and a sporty, dual-tip exhaust system. The Venue N-Line is expected to be offered with the 1.0L turbo petrol with 6-speed auto clutch manual transmission (ACMT) and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). Hyundai India could launch the Venue N Line alongside the Venue facelift.
