At the front, the next-gen MG Hector gets a bigger chrome grille. It gets diamond-shaped chrome elements along with the MG logo in the centre. In addition to that, the new grille now extends into the lower bumper and gets thick chrome surrounds on either side. The grille is flanked by slim LED DRLs whereas the main LED headlights sit lower on the bumper.

The LED headlights in the new Hector are reminiscent of that of the Hector Plus. Towards the end of the bumper, the new Hector also gets a silver chrome garnish along with a radar sensor, most likely to offer ADAS features like lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and auto emergency braking.

MG Motor India are yet to tease or reveal the interior of the new Hector. What we know so far is that the new Hector will offer a segment-largest 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. In addition to the general connectivity features, it is also likely to offer native app support and live maps.

On the powertrain front, the new Hector is likely to come with the same 1.5L turbo petrol and 2.0L turbo diesel engine options. While the 1.5L turbo petrol may retain its manual, manual hybrid and CVT automatic options, we expect MG to finally offer the Hector with a diesel automatic option. Currently, the MG Hector only gets a 6-speed manual transmission with the 2.0L diesel engine.
