2022 Toyota Glanza - Everything You Need To Know | V3Cars

The 2022 Toyota Glanza will be launched in March 2022. Unofficial bookings are already open and you can book yours from your nearest Toyota dealership. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming 2022 Toyota Glanza.

2022 Toyota Glanza

The current Toyota Glanza isn’t far off the older Maruti Suzuki Baleno. It was identical in all aspects, save for the Toyota badging and a new grille. However, with the 2022 model, we expect Toyota India to make perceptible changes to the new Glanza. Additionally, Toyota will continue with only two variants for the Glanza – G and V – with both manual and AMT transmission options.

At the front, the new Toyota Glanza could feature tweaked LED headlights, a split chrome front grille, and a tweaked bumper with chrome accents. Spy shots of the Glanza suggest that it will also receive a different set of alloy wheels when compared to the 2022 Baleno. They also suggest that there will not be any changes made to the rear profile of the 2022 Glanza, in comparison to the 2022 Baleno.

On the inside, we do not expect Toyota to pick up the pencil and redesign the interiors. The best possibility could be different trim materials and a new upholstery theme. The rest of the cabin is likely to remain more or less the same. In terms of features, the 2022 Glanza will get the same features as the new Baleno. These features include 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree parking camera, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and a head-up display.

The 2022 Toyota Glanza will also share its engine with the Baleno. It will come with a 1.2L normal petrol engine which produces 90PS of power and 113Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT transmission. It remains to be seen whether Toyota decide to charge a premium for the Glanza, as they did with the Urban Cruiser, or decide to undercut the Baleno to lure the buyers.
