Jeep India have announced the prices of the 2024 Meridian. As we expected last week, the Meridian is a lot more affordable now thanks to the addition of a new entry-level 5-seater variant. Check out the variant-wise ex-showroom prices, new feature additions and powertrain specs of the 2024 Meridian here.

Jeep India have rejigged the variant nomenclature for the Meridian. The updated Meridian is now available in 4 variants – Longitude, Longitude Plus, Limited (O), and Overland. The Meridian X Limited and Limited (O) 4x4 variants are no longer available and 4x4 is now limited to the top Overland variant only. Here are the variant-wise prices of the 2024 Meridian:
The top Overland variant of the Meridian is only available with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Jeep are charging a premium of Rs. 2 lakh for the 4x4 option.
Compared to the previous Meridian, the new and updated SUV is Rs. 5 lakh cheaper than before. For reference, prices for the old Meridian X Limited base variant with the manual transmission started at Rs. 29.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the Overland and Overland 4x4 variant have received a price cut of Rs. 65,000 and Rs. 1.34 lakh, which is impressive considering the top variant of the 2024 Meridian now offers ADAS.
The Jeep Meridian gets minimal design changes to keep it looking fresh among a sea of SUVs. While the Meridian retains the iconic 7-slot grille, it now gets chrome studs for a more stylish look. The new grille also features a front parking camera, and the alloy wheels have received a refresh as well, adopting a new 5-spoke design. Overall, the Meridian's silhouette remains largely unchanged.

Jeep India are now offering the base Longitude variant of the Meridian with a 5-seater layout for buyers looking for more boot space. Thanks to the 2-row seating layout, the boot space has gone up from 170 litres to a massive 670 litres. The Meridian also boasts an impressive array of features.

The highlight, of course, is the addition of ADAS with 70+ safety features, which includes auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane keeping assist. Other notable features include a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, wireless smartphone charging, a surround view camera, front ventilated seats, and an Alpine sound system.
Under the hood, the 2024 Meridian continues to feature a 2.0-litre diesel engine that delivers 172PS of power and 350Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. The 4WD drivetrain is exclusively available with the automatic transmission.
While Jeep India are yet to reveal the claimed mileage figures of the Meridian, we expect it to be the same as the older model.

Interested customers can now book the Jeep Meridian with a token amount of Rs. 50,000. Bookings can be made either online through Jeep India's website or at authorised dealerships.
With the addition of ADAS and the 5-seater option, Jeep aims to further enhance the Meridian's appeal in the competitive mid-size SUV segment where it rivals SUVs such as the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700 7 Seater, and the Hyundai Tucson, among others.
