Last week, Maruti Suzuki announced the new Dzire sedan’s launch date and released the first teaser image of the sedan. Now, the carmaker has opened bookings for the 2024 Dzire for a token amount of Rs. 11,000. The new Dzire features a brand new design that helps distinguish itself from the 2024 Swift it is based on.

Maruti Suzuki are currently accepting bookings for the 2024 Dzire through their official website or Maruti Suzuki Arena showrooms. The new Dzire can be booked for an amount of Rs. 11,000. The 2024 Maruti Dzire is expected to be priced competitively, starting around Rs 6.90 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, it will rival other popular B2-segment sedans like the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor.
It’s worth noting that Honda teased the next-gen Amaze a week after the Dzire’s launch date was announced. While the new-gen Amaze is only expected to launch in early 2025, it will go head-to-head with the new-gen Dzire. Learn more about the new-gen Amaze by clicking the link below.

Based on the teaser image and subsequent spy shots, we can confirm the 2024 Dzire sports a bold and modern design, drawing inspiration from the latest Maruti Suzuki design language. The front fascia is dominated by a large, chrome-accented grille, flanked by sleek LED headlights with distinctive vertical DRLs. The aggressive front bumper adds a sporty touch to the sedan's overall appearance.
The side profile showcases a new set of machine-cut alloy wheels, while the rear end features a sleek Y-shaped LED tail light design connected by a chrome strip. The addition of a shark fin antenna further enhances the sedan’s sporty appeal.

While the interior details remain largely under wraps, we expect the 2024 Dzire to share a similar dashboard layout with the 2024 Swift. This could mean a new, more premium cabin with a larger 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, and a 360-degree camera for the higher variants.
Safety features are likely to include:
Under the hood, the 2024 Dzire is expected to be powered by the new 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder Z Series normal petrol engine found in the 2024 Swift. This engine delivers 82PS of power and 113Nm of torque. Transmission options are likely to include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.
*The mileage figures above are for the 2024 Swift hatchback, but we expect the Dzire to offer similar fuel efficiency.
