Audi To Launch A8 L Facelift On July 12 | V3Cars

Audi India are all set to reveal the prices of the updated A8 L facelift on July 12. Audi India started accepting bookings for the luxury sedan in May 2022. Audi A8 L gets multiple enhancements in terms of design, features and comfort.

On the outside, Audi have redesigned the single-frame grille with wider borders and new chrome elements. The air intakes now sit vertically and we can see minor revisions to the bumpers as well. The Matrix LED headlights now feature different LED patterns, giving them a more futuristic appearance than before.

On the inside, the A8 L facelift is quite similar to the outgoing model. The dashboard gets retractable AC vents. The centre of the dashboard has two screens – one for navigation and media and the other for the climate control and drive modes. Other changes include new seat upholstery and rear entertainment screens. Audi India will also offer a rear-seat luxury package with a recliner and foot massager.

Like all Volkswagen, Skoda, Audi and Porsche models, the A8 L will come as a petrol-only model in the Indian market. The refreshed A8 L will pack the same powertrain as before with a 48v mild-hybrid system. The 3.0L turbo petrol V6 engine produces the same 340PS of power as the pre-facelift model, however, the torque output is now up by 40Nm and now stands at 540Nm. The engine comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and 4-wheel-drive.

The 2022 Audi A8 L facelift will go up against the all-new BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The arch-rival to the A8 L, the BMW 7-Series was recently updated globally and we expect the new 7-Series to hit our shores soon. Closer to home, Mercedes-Benz India recently launched the locally-assembled Maybach S580 and the full-import Maybach S680.
