Audi Q5 Facelift

The test mule was quite mildly camouflaged giving us a good look of its exterior design elements. Upfront, it features a single fame octagonal grille with a chrome surround flanked by updated new LED headlmaps. The bumper is also updated and feature redesigned fog lamp housing. Around the back, it gets slightly updated tail lamps with a connecting chrome element. The side profile looks largely similar to the pre-facelift model.

Although the spy shots do not reveal anything about the interior, it should look similar to the global model.  Compared to the pre-facelift model, it gets a minor update. The most noticeable them is a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Audi’s latest MIB 3 system. Other features remain similar including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, 3-zone AC and multiple airbags.

Under the hood, the Q5 facelift is expected to be offered with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine only in the 45TFSI trim like the A6 sedan. It makes 245PS of power and 370Nm of peak torque mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Audi will offer the Quattro 4WD system on the Q5 facelift just as the pre-facelift model. Audi is not expected to offer a diesel engine on the Q5 this time around.

The Q5 has been missing from Audi’s India lineup for a while now and it is expected to make its entry soon. Expect the SUV to go on sale by mid-2021 with a price tag of around Rs 55 lakh. It will take on likes of the BMW X3, Volvo S60 and Mercedes Benz GLC.
