Because of its SUV-inspired MPV styling the Carens may not only compete with the MPVs but also 3-row SUVs. The Kia Carens could compete with MPVs like the Maruti Suzuki Nexa XL6, Mahindra Marazzo and the super popular Toyota Innova Crysta. On the SUV-front, it will become another option for 3-row SUV buyers currently considering the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV700. We expect Kia to price the Carens between Rs. 11.0 lakh and Rs. 17.0 lakh (ex-showroom). Once the exact prices are out, we’ll find out exactly which 3-row cars will end up in Kia’s crosshairs.
