The Basalt X gets 2 new variants as part of the latest update. The first is the new You Turbo variant, which brings the turbo-petrol engine lower down the Basalt X variant hierarchy. The Basalt X You Turbo is priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh, which makes it Rs. 1.44 more expensive than the You normal petrol variant.
The second addition is the Basalt X Max normal petrol, priced at Rs. 11.34 lakh. It combines the features of the top Max turbo petrol variant with the normal petrol engine, making the top fully -loaded variant more accessible by Rs. 1.28 lakh.
Citroen have followed a similar strategy with the Aircross X. The new Aircross X You Turbo is priced at Rs. 1059 lakh. The new variant gives buyers access to the turbo-petrol engine without having to move to a higher equipment level.
Citroen have also introduced the Aircross X Max normal petrol at Rs. 11.62 lakh, making the top variant more accessible by Rs. 1.35 lakh.
The latest changes are primarily about offering more combinations of engines and features rather than introducing major mechanical updates. Citroen have also confirmed that all normal petrol variants are available with petrol and CNG powertrains. However, the company have not announced separate prices for the CNG versions of the newly introduced variants.
