Hyundai Creta And Alcazar Could Gain ADAS This Year | V3Cars

Hyundai India will soon join the tribe of affordable SUVs with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). Both the Creta and Alcazar could gain ADAS by the end of this year. Hyundai recently launched the Creta facelift in the Indonesian market and we expect the same to make its way to the Indian market as well. However, the Alcazar could remain the same shape with the new set of features additions.

Hyundai Creta

The Hyundai Creta is currently the best-selling compact SUV in the Indian market. While it comes with a good set of features, the competition has taken the bar a notch above, with features like ADAS and 360-degree parking camera, to name a few. Soon, the Creta will gain ADAS and standard safety features to rival the competition. With the Creta facelift, we expect Hyundai to offer 6 airbags, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), VSM (Vehicle Stability Management) and ISOFIX as standard across the range.

The ADAS features in the Creta and Alcazar could include auto emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, driver drowsiness detection, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign detection, self-levelling LED headlights and blind-spot detection. The same set of features could be offered with the Kia Seltos facelift first. If we retrospect, the Seltos was launched before the Creta whereas the Alcazar is the latest offering from Hyundai in India.

Hyundai India will also launch the all-new Tucson and the all-electric Ioniq 5 this year. The Hyundai Tucson has been spied on Indian roads multiple times and it will sport big changes inside and out. The Ioniq 5 falls in the EV strategy of Hyundai and Kia and could be the first product to be deployed in the Indian market. We expect Hyundai India to launch the Tucson and Ioniq 5 before updating the Creta and Alcazar.
