The new spy shots reveal the split headlight design and H-shaped LED tail light design of the upcoming SUV. Up front, the small SUV gets a stubby nose with a split LED headlight design. The main headlight features halogen projectors. Both the LED DRLs and LED tail lights seem to feature an H-shaped pattern, which is unique to any Hyundai offering in India.

The Grand i10 Nios hatchback has a tall boy stance with a large glass house, and that seems to be the case with the upcoming SUV as well. The images reveal a large glass house along with increased height over the Grand i10 Nios hatchback. We won’t be surprised if the new small SUV from Hyundai offers class-leading height. The small SUV will go up against the likes of the Tata Punch and Citroen C3.

Other design details on the outside include dual-tone machined alloy wheels, black wheel arch cladding, clamshell bonnet, roof rails, electric sunroof, shark fin antenna and turn indicators on the outside rear view mirror (ORVMs).

Furthermore, Hyundai could also offer the 1.0L turbo petrol engine with the small SUV, which was earlier available with the Grand i10 Nios but not with the facelift. The 1.0L turbo petrol engine offers 100PS of power and 170Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
